At present, her main clients are the Official Report of the Scottish Parliament, an inspectorate of public services in England, and a defence research institute. She has had considerable experience in the civil service – writing, reviewing and proofreading her own work and the work of others, often for publication and regularly at a few hours notice. She has successfully led major projects and is trained in project management, time management and Plain English.
Liz is a Professional Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders and abides by its code of conduct. She has completed courses from the Society in proofreading, copy-editing and on-screen editing and achieved a Merit in the Publishing Training Centre's course in proofreading.
In her spare time, she practises her Italian, is learning Portuguese and tries to create a garden. She also helps her husband with his photography business.
